The model and actress now lives with Samantha, the dog she adopted (above), and Olivia. Ann Turkel has been married only eight years and has been divorced with Richard Harris since 20. But she still can't take the news of his passing. Turkel has been raised in Manhattan and comes from an ethnically Jewish, middle class family, studied at both the Neighborhood Playhouse and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy at the age of 16 years old. Ann also trained alongside Sandy Meisner. In high school Ann started singing with her schoolmates and formed a rock and roll band. The band also took part in a year of summer stock theater on stage at the Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in such plays as The Pajama Game" and West Side Story. Ann's appearance as a member of her band at fashion events was the first time Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Within one week, editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her first Vogue cover in collaboration with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was one of the top models in America, appearing as a cover model for leading magazines such as Vogue Bazaar or Cosmopolitan. Ann was the first model to make her debut internationally with Europe and Japan as a model on behalf of Max Factor Revlon.
