Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest of the children of singer Dionne Warswick as well as gospel singer Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew as a child in a household of musicians. In Newark, Whitney began singing with the church choir as a small child. at the age of 15, she joined her mom in backing vocals in Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. Later, she provided background vocals for Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and her mother. Her work as the lead vocalist in New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record labels, including Arista who she signed in 1982 and was with them for the rest of her life with them. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut album for an artist in the year 1985. The album contained several hit songs including How Will I know You Give Good Love, Saving All My Love For you and The Most Beautiful Love of All. It allowed her to achieve seven US chart-topping singles consecutively, a feat that was more than the Beatles. The album sold US 3,000,000 copies, and later reached 25,000,000 copies worldwide. The album gave her the first of the six Grammy Awards she has won. Whitney, her album Whitney which came out in 1987 and featuring the hit songs How Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. It is The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as one of the best-selling albums in pop music. Although the film was not very well received, nor did her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the top of both singles and albums charts across the US for months. The album sold over 44 million copies. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer with whom she bore her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown. Around this time, her well-documented drug use started and in 1996, the singer used to use drugs every day.
Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchorperson for the CNN reporter and political reporter for CNN. She has created shows for the network such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionand Inside Politics'. Bash's awards and recognitions include being named to the "The Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. Her incredible anchoring and reporting skills are praised by many journalists. She is also a loving mother of her son, even though she graduated from George Washington University. She's married twice. She's currently unmarried.
