Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest of the children of singer Dionne Warswick as well as gospel singer Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew as a child in a household of musicians. It is The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as one of the best-selling albums in pop music. Although the film was not very well received, nor did her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the top of both singles and albums charts across the US for months. The album sold over 44 million copies. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer with whom she bore her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown.
